Cookie Policy

1. What cookies and similar technologies do

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies can store preferences or identifiers in the browser or send information when a page or feature is used. This Policy covers those technologies on marginpeakconsulting.com, not just items called cookies.

MarginPeak Consulting LLC uses necessary technologies to operate the website and remember your choices. With your permission, we also use Google Ads conversion measurement to understand whether our advertisements lead to actions such as completed enquiries.

2. Necessary technologies

Necessary technologies support functions such as security, basic form operation and recording your privacy choices. We do not classify optional advertising measurement as necessary.

Our first-party preference cookie is called mp_consent_v1. It records your selected cookie settings, their date and the relevant notice version for up to 180 days. Its purpose is to apply your decision, including a decision to reject optional tracking. It is not used to build an advertising profile.

Infrastructure services may use additional strictly necessary security or operational storage. The website platform also provides built-in visitor analytics that records aggregate page views, referring sites, approximate country and device or browser type. We use these statistics only to understand overall website use, not for advertising. We keep the cookie details on this page aligned with the production setup and do not use this category as permission for unrelated analytics or advertising.

See the cookie register for the items currently used.

3. Optional advertising measurement

Provider: Google Ads.
Purpose: measuring interactions with our advertising and whether they lead to actions such as an enquiry being successfully submitted.
Information involved: ad/cookie or click identifiers, interaction and conversion information, technical device/browser data and IP address.

Google's conversion measurement may use cookies in the _gcl_ family, such as _gcl_aw when applicable. Google describes _gcl_ cookies as generally lasting 90 days. The exact cookies depend on the implemented tag and the interaction; not every visitor receives every cookie. Third-party Google cookies may also be involved when measurement is enabled, depending on browser restrictions and the actual configuration. Relevant details must be reflected in the site's current cookie inventory.

We use a basic consent setup that blocks optional Google tags and measurement requests until you enable Advertising measurement. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent you from browsing, making an enquiry or subscribing to the newsletter.

The initial setup is not configured for remarketing, personalised advertising, enhanced conversions using contact details or a separate Google Analytics deployment. Google provides more information at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://business.safety.google/adscookies/.

See the cookie register for the items currently used.

4. Your choices

When the choice is presented, you can accept optional measurement, reject it or open settings. Optional measurement is off unless you enable it. Scrolling, continuing to browse, submitting a form or closing a notice does not count as permission.

You can reopen “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time. Withdrawing permission stops future optional measurement and removes optional first-party measurement storage where technically possible. Our website cannot directly remove cookies stored on a third party's domain; your browser provides additional controls for those cookies. Withdrawal does not undo processing that was lawful before you changed your choice.

We normally remember the choice for up to 180 days. We may ask sooner if the purposes or providers change materially. Clearing browser storage or using a different browser/device may mean you need to choose again.

We honour a detected Global Privacy Control signal by keeping optional advertising measurement off in the browser sending it. Browser settings can also block or delete cookies, although blocking necessary storage may affect some website features.

5. Booking through Calendly

Our initial booking feature links to an external Calendly page. We do not automatically load a Calendly booking embed on the website. Calendly provides its own cookie information and controls for its service. Our Privacy Policy explains our use of the meeting information we receive.

6. Further information

Read our Privacy Policy for information about personal information, international processing, retention and your rights. Cookie expiry is not necessarily the same as the period for which a provider retains information received through the cookie.
